Verify a CFDI with the SAT.

Check whether a Mexican invoice is active or canceled using the SAT's public service. Enter the issuer and recipient RFC, the total and the UUID, or paste the QR code URL.

If you have the URL from the CFDI's QR code, paste it and we'll fill in the fields.

Exactly as it appears on the CFDI, with its decimals.

36 characters with hyphens. It's in the CFDI's tax stamp.

We don't store or log the data you check: it goes through our server only to reach the SAT's public service.

SAT status

Enter the four CFDI fields and check. You'll see whether it's active or canceled, whether it can be canceled and the code the SAT returns.

For information only: it shows what the SAT's public service returns at the time of the check. It does not replace a review by your accountant.

How it works

The check uses the SAT's public verification service, the same one that reads the QR code printed on the CFDI.

What is sent to the SAT

Printed expression
?re=Issuer RFC&rr=Recipient RFC&tt=Total&id=UUID
Service
ConsultaCFDIService (SOAP)consultaqr.facturaelectronica.sat.gob.mx
What we don't store
RFCs, totals or UUIDs

What each result means

  • Active (Vigente)

The SAT has the CFDI on record and it is not canceled.

  • Canceled (Cancelado)

The issuer canceled the CFDI with the SAT. The “Cancellation status” field shows whether it was with the recipient's acceptance, without it, or because the deadline passed.

  • Not found (No encontrado)

The SAT has no CFDI with those details (code N - 602). It's almost always a total or an RFC that differs from the CFDI. Code N - 601 means the query format is not valid.

  • EFOS validation

SAT code about the list of companies that invoice simulated transactions (Federal Tax Code art. 69-B): 200 and 201 mean the issuer is not on the list; 100 to 104 mean the issuer or a third-party RFC is.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions when verifying an invoice with the SAT.

How do I verify an invoice with the SAT?

Enter the issuer RFC, the recipient RFC, the total and the UUID exactly as they appear on the CFDI, or paste the URL from its QR code. The check tells you whether it's active, canceled or not found by the SAT.

Where do I find the UUID (folio fiscal)?

In the CFDI's digital tax stamp. On the PDF it usually appears as “Folio fiscal”, and in the XML it's the UUID attribute of the TimbreFiscalDigital complement. It has 36 characters with hyphens.

Why does it say “Not found” if the invoice exists?

Almost always because a field differs: the total must match the CFDI and the RFCs must match. If the invoice was stamped recently, it may take a while to appear at the SAT. If nothing changes, ask the issuer to look into it.

What does “Cancelable con aceptación” mean?

That to cancel the CFDI the issuer needs the recipient to accept the request. “Cancelable sin aceptación” means it can be canceled without that answer, and “No cancelable” means it can't be canceled for now.

Do you store the data I check?

No. The query goes through our server only to reach the SAT service; we don't store or log RFCs, totals or UUIDs.

Is this the same as verifying on the SAT portal?

It uses the same SAT public service that reads the CFDI's QR code. For an official record, also verify it on the SAT portal: verificacfdi.facturaelectronica.sat.gob.mx.
