What the AMECE 7.1 addenda is

It is the invoice addenda defined by AMECE, now GS1 Mexico, in its document structure version 7.1 (documentStructureVersion="AMC7.1"). It carries the purchase order, your supplier number, the GLNs of the buyer, the supplier and the delivery location, and the GTIN of each product. It goes in cfdi:Addenda, after the stamp, so the SAT doesn't validate it.

Supermarket and department store chains use the addenda to match your invoice with their purchase order and with the goods received at their distribution center or store. If the data doesn't match, the invoice doesn't get paid.

Data it usually asks for

  • Supplier number assigned by the chain
  • Purchase order number
  • Goods receipt number
  • GLN of the buyer, the supplier and the delivery location
  • Barcode (GTIN) of each product

Each company defines its own addenda. The exact fields are in the manual your buyer or the AMECE 7.1 (GS1 México) accounts payable team gives you.

Questions about the AMECE 7.1 (GS1 México) addenda

What people ask us most before invoicing with an addenda.

Ask an advisor
How much does the AMECE 7.1 addenda cost?

$555 per year, VAT included, and you don't need Premium. If you invoice several companies with addendas, Premium includes all of them for $450 per month or $4,500 per year. Either way, each CFDI uses one stamp from your package.

Does the AMECE 7.1 addenda affect the stamp?

No. It goes in the cfdi:Addenda node, outside the original string, so the SAT doesn't check it and it doesn't change the seal or the Timbre Fiscal Digital. The chain that asks for it checks it.

What data does the AMECE 7.1 addenda carry?

The purchase order, your supplier number, the GLNs of the buyer, the supplier and the delivery location, and each product's GTIN, quantity and price. Each chain may ask for extra fields.

Which chains ask for the AMECE 7.1 addenda?

Several retail chains ask for it as is or with adjustments; La Comer uses it and Soriana's standardized addenda is based on it. Tell us which chain asks for it and we set it up with its fields.

Can I issue the AMECE 7.1 addenda from my ERP?

Yes. With API v5, included in the service, your system sends the CFDI data and the addenda data in the same request and gets back the stamped XML with the addenda. You can also invoice from the web portal without integrating anything.
